The Internet exploded today (ok, well, Twitter did) with the news that Google has updated its search feature to make it more dynamic. What does this mean? Well, it means that now when you enter a search it will “dynamically adjust based on your current query,” according to an article on TechCrunch. Now, instead of the “More” drop-down menu where options like “Blogs,” “Discussions,” and others were found, users see a short list of search filters. In addition, the bar at the top that lets you filter your search by “Web,” “News,” “Images,” “Books,” and “Maps,” will also be updated based on your queries, states the same article.
It may be a small change, but it’s an important one to note. Google officials told TechCrunch they made the change because they want to make Search more useful to users. The missing items may not be available as standalone filters, but the content will be included within search results.
